A Comprehensive Solution

The PACS Consulting Process

Before making decisions on products it is important to understand the current client organization on a functional level. Functionally, PACS involves patient care, computer technology and organizational procedures. That is why its called integration rather then installation.

The first step towards PACS are facility interview(s) . The object of the first step is to access:
Current Radiology Imaging volume
Future plans for imaging growth
Current state of technology
Current hardware and networking components
  • Current application is place
• Desire with regard to current system
• Current systems and interface needs
Perception of staff with regard to a future PACS system
Desired features with regard to a future PACS system
Special organizational needs with regard to PACS

Simply defined, the consulting process is designed to access the needs of the subject facility and its readiness to embark on the process. The facilities environment, personnel, financial status and motivation are all taken into account as important factors in the successful PACS / RIS implementation.

Following the information gathering stage, a formal proposal is provided including:

Overview of current facility and review of procedural and system shortcomings
Suggested PACS / RIS components
Cost Benefit Analysis
Implementation stages and timetables

Virtually all of PCCG's engagements are long term, even though the contract may have expired. We feel once you are an PCCG client, you remain an PCCG client for life. The "long-term client" approach is one that does not impede on current contracts (most simply ask a question or two on the phone periodically or request a day's time) and is another benefit that PCCG provides as a value-add for engaging our services.
